If you're looking for a country pub in a rural setting - and one that's only ten minutes away from the centre of busy Bath - then you really can't do much better than The Swan.

The Swan looks out at willow-edged fields with the River Avon meandering by in the distance. The pub's garden is also understandably popular with our customers – adults and children alike.

The Swan has earned a reputation for serving home-cooked, satisfying and beautifully presented food, as well as their extensive range of well-kept beers and cider.

Dogs are welcome in our bar, where we serve our full menu, pre-orders are required for groups.

Our opening times are:

 Monday - Saturday 12 - 11pm

Sunday 12- 9pm

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Our Food

We take great pride in our food.  Cooked fresh from the best locally sourced ingredients we create some distinctive dishes served with real flair.  In addition, there’s some real old style classics rarely found these days – try our Bath Ales beer-battered cod, triple-cooked chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce or Steak and Dark side Pie with creamy mash, seasonal greens and red wine gravy.

We serve ‘proper food for kids’ too.  We think they should eat as well as adults so make sure they get a great choice of freshly cooked options.

Our Sunday Roasts get great reviews too – our classic roast topside of beef is always a favourite, or try one of the chef’s picks of other meats. All served with garlic and herb roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, braised red cabbage and a delicious Yorkshire pudding. Our 5 bean roast is a great alternative for vegetarians and vegans.

Food served 12-9pm Monday - Saturday & Sunday 12 - 6pm.

"Quite simply the best pie I've ever eaten and have not stopped telling people about it since I went there!"

Our Drinks

We are proud of our roots and serve a range of Bath Ales alongside some cask ales and other draught beers from further afield alongside some great ciders.

We change our draught range regularly but you’ll often find Bath Ales award winning amber ale Gem, the light, refreshing Phropecy and more on hand pull alongside a choice of ciders and lagers including Korev – a lager brewed in Cornwall.

We serve up a fine range of hand-picked wines and unexpected spirits too.  Why not try a G&T made with Tarquin’s handcrafted Cornish gin?

Whatever you choose, you can be sure of a genuine welcome from one of our team.

"Bath Ales' rich and diverse range is sure to satisfy lovers of each and every kind of real ale"
